A security vulnerability has been found that could allow an attacker to expose data encrypted between a SSL 3.0 compatible client and a SSL 3.0 compatible server. Poodle (Padding Oracle On Downgraded Legacy Encryption) is the name of the attack that exploits this vulnerability.
FrontStream is updating our servers and products (listed below) to prevent SSL 3.0 protocol from connecting to our applications. In order to continue connecting to these applications, you need to update your internet browser to one compatible with the newer SSL protocols no later than Friday October 24, 2014. Most modern browsers already support the latest SSL version but some legacy versions may not, consult your IT team for details.

It’s always a good idea to maintain regular updates, however you will only need to update your browser if you are using an older browser that does not support the latest SSL protocols. You can determine which browser you are using by choosing the question mark or Help item from the top menu and selecting “About Internet Explorer”.
